Tool's Maynard James Keenan Throwing Himself a 50th Birthday Party

Tool frontman Maynard James Keenan will celebrate his 50th birthday by performing with two of his other groups, Puscifer and A Perfect Circle, at the Greek Theatre in Los Angeles on May 10th.The prolific rocker will also host a special performance from the recently reunited alt-rockers Failure, as Spin reports. Their set is a much-appreciated gift to Keenan, who said in a statement, "This was the perfect opportunity to tick off one of my bucket list items in the form of a Failure reunion. Tickets for Keenan's "Cinquanta" gig will go on sale on Friday, December 6th at 10 a.m. PST on Ticketmaster. Prices have not yet been revealed. The follow-up to 2006's 10,000 Days is expected to come out next year, though Keenan mentioned that his bandmates, who typically write the music before sending it to him, have a tendency to constantly revise and nitpick.
